SLU's 97th Foundation Anniversary at Burnham Park

SLU has been celebrating their foundation anniversary at Burnham Park for a couple of years now. I don't know... I kinda miss seeing the Foundation day at the SLU Campus. There, you get to visit the College of Engineering and Architecture and see the scale models, the minerals at the Mining engineering and get a free lump of pyrite, or check out the machines used for EE and ECE. And then you also have other gimmicks of the other colleges such as the bottled specimens at Natural Sciences.

It must be the thrust of SLU to bring its celebration to the people hence the new venue. Jo-Lo enjoyed the sights and sounds though. I believe this year is done in partnership with the Benguet State University. Here are some photos taken from last Sunday.

The birdwatcher's club had a bird exhibit. Fascinating stuff.

  1. Hi, dropping by from the boondocks. Is Jollibee their sponsor? That looks like a Jollibee mascot :-)

  2. Hi Bill! It's a Jollibee knock-off :-)

  3. Feather-in-the-cap goes to all those people involved in putting up those miniature scales/models. Just love looking at them. They're awesome!
    Cheers to you and family....
