The potato plants have started withering and so last weekend I decided to finally dig them up. It was quite fun pulling out the plants and digging for potatoes!
When my friend who also owns a veggie garden visited our place and saw my potato patch, he mentioned that the best way to plant potatoes is to build a mound and plant the potatoes. This way, digging them up will be easy. I saw the wisdom in there as I dug my way around and accidentally scraped the side of some of the spuds.
I was able to fill-up a bucket and a half from this patch, and I have one other, smaller patch to go.
Oh, and I have a bucket spud as well!
