The First Cordillera Pine Tree Festival - which website?

I first heard of the Cordillera Pine Tree Festival through the Twitter feed of a Philippine news agency. I decided to Google the event for more information. Unfortunately, my first impression was that there wasn't a concerted effort to centralize information.

I saw three different places that appear to be the "official" websites because of the way they were represented:

I finally clicked on a link for a Facebook Page and relieved to find I was then at the right place. And since this links up to the second address above, I am assuming this is the official website for the event?


Online presence confusion notwithstanding, this event is very significant to Cordillera and to my hometown of Baguio because, well, it's the City of Pines! And it will no longer be the City of Pines soon at the rate of deforestation it is experiencing.

In celebration of the Benguet pine tree (Pinus kesiya/Insularis), the first pine tree festival is being planned for December this year to give due recognition to the tree for all its contributions to the people and land of the Cordillera region of the Philippines. The festival will involve six provinces and two cities and will focus on educational, recreational and informative activities within the cultural, social, economic and environmental spheres involving the Benguet pine tree and the people of the Cordillera region. 

The official website does not have a current calendar of events though (which I expected to be under The Events Page (http://www.cordillera.pinetreefestival.net/events.htm#), but I went back to the Facebook Page and found this information under Events:
Saturday, December 17 at 8:00pm - December 18 at 8:00pm
Longlong Communal Forest
The venue/s is tentative and will be updated closer to the date of the festival. Thank you.

I hope this post will help point people to the right place when looking for information about this event (and perhaps help the organizers tidy up the online presence).
