Sorry about being the skeptic in this rather welcome news, but back in 2008 when the local government started renovating the Children's Park in Burnham, their press release stated that it will be transformed into a world-class park. Look at it now.
I will believe this when I see it happen.

President Benigno Aquino III fulfilled his promise to help the group of Bishop Carlito Cenzon bring back the luster of Burnham Park with the release of P25 million for the fencing of the city’s premier park.
City Mayor Mauricio Domogan announced Wednesday the release of the huge funding, which is expected to be sufficient to cover all the unfenced area of Burnham Park, including that of the Melvin Jones.
Domogan thanked Aquino for making good of his promise together with Department of Public Works and Highways Sec. Rogelio Singson for heeding the directive of the President to consider the project a priority.
To recall, Aquino was in Baguio together with Department of Energy Sec. Jose Almendras in August to inaugurate the cost efficiency lighting system at Burnham Park.
The President in his speech then vowed to help bring back the old luster of Baguio by starting at Burnham Park.
