JHMC ordered to stop cutting & lifting trees in Camp John Hay

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has stopped the developer of Camp John Hay from cutting and balling trees.

In a memorandum, Sec. Ramon Paje instructed Regional Exe-cutive Director Clarence Baguilat to issue a cease and desist order to the John Hay Management Corporation from allowing the cutting of trees within the developable area of CJH.

JHMC is the administrator of CJH and Camp John Hay Deve-lopment Corporation is its developer. Paje said the order is in compliance with President Benigno Aquino III’s directive on a moratorium on the cutting and harvesting of naturally grown trees.
